Where children grow in faith, knowledge, values, and respect.
Holy Angels is a Google for Education School. We are a 1:1 school so every child has their own device at Holy Angels. K3-K4 use ipads and K5-8 primarily use chromebooks.Classrooms are equipped with either Smartboards or Interactive Flat Panels. Students in grades K5-5th grade receive computer education classes weekly. Students learn a variety of skills. Some of the skills include: keyboarding, coding, the Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Forms, Google Sheets, and Google Drawings), internet safety, and how to use Google Classroom. Google Classroom will be used in computer class each week. This program is a suite of online tools that lets teachers post assignments, share links, presentations, and lessons with their students. Students can then turn in their work to be graded when they are done. It is an efficient way to share information and assignments. The students will use their Google account to login to their classes on Google Classroom. All students K5 and up have their own school Google account for this reason. For security reasons students can only share assignments that they are doing on Google with their school domain.
Programs used in school:
Be Internet Awesome is used in technology classes periodically through the year.
Code.org is used for various internet safety lessons throughout the year in grades K-5.
CommonSenseEducation has internet lessons that are used with the classes too.
