Mrs. Gibbon graduated from UW-Oshkosh in December of 1987 with a BA in elementary education and a minor in language arts. She started teaching 3rd grade at Holy Angels in 1988. She taught 3rd grade from 1988-2015. In 2015 she became the technology coordinator and taught technology classes. In 2021 she took on the role of the art teacher while continuing to serve as the technology coordinator and teacher. She is the facilitator for the Yearbook and the Art Club.
We will be meeting in the Art Room every Wednesday. This club does have a $50 fee to pay for costs. It will begin on September 25th. Fees need to be paid by that date. Make sure your child has paint clothes for this club.
K5 | K5 will finish their cutting practice this week as they finish their pizzas. They will then start their Birds on a Wire project. After they draw their birds this week they will learn about the color wheel when they paint them on the wire. |
1st Grade | First grade will learn about Wassily Kandinsky this week. They will try to create their version of his famous piece of art called, Squares with Concentric Circles. |
2nd Grade | The second graders will transfer their drawings of trees on their canvases this week. They will then color in their trees to make them look like silhouettes. |
3rd Grade | The third graders will finish their portraits this week. They will then learn how to overlap shapes as they create their Superhero Skyline. |
4th Grade | The fourth graders will finish their line landscapes this week. The next project they will start will deal with cubism and realism. |
5th Grade | The fifth graders will continue working with contour lines to make "Contour Wormies" this week. |
6th Grade | This week the sixth graders will review how to create realistic trees. They will then use cool and warm colors to color their picture. |
7th Grade | The seventh graders will be turning in their ribbon projects at the beginning of class this week. They will then learn about Yayoi Kusama. They will create pumpkins inspired by her artwork. |
8th Grade | This week the 8th graders will continue learning how to correctly draw the proportions of the body. They will take their stick figures and add the body around their guidelines this week. |
