Hola, I am Heidi Duerst, the Spanish teacher at Holy Angels. I am originally from Fort Atkinson. After college, I spent about ten years in Reedsburg, and have now lived in Slinger since 2008. My husband and I have three children. They are in high school and college. We also have rabbits, chickens, and quail.
I joined the staff at Holy Angels in the fall of 2016. I teach on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
I see the elementary students twice a week, rotating by the trimesters. I see the sixth through eighth graders twice a week all year.
At the end of last school year, the World Language teachers in the Archdiocese received the newly updated standards. As such, the section for World Language on the report card will look different this year. The "5 Cs" (Communication, Coneections, Culture, etc.), have been replaced with Interpersonal Communication, Interpretive Communication, and Relating Cultural Practice and Products to Perspectives.
